Historical Background

The birth of Forest Ridge came as a result of a dream to create a golf course that would
best serve the needs of those who were looking for a challenging and rewarding golf experience.

The course was designed by Howard and Wayne MacDonald, who had a real challenge in carving out a course that had many rock outcrops, swamp, low and high lands, and water ponds.
Taking it from paper to reality was not an easy challenge; however, it was made possible when Ron Belanger agreed to bring his company assets to the table. Belanger Construction with its expertise and building experience made the course a reality.
